Major Update On Abducted Siblings Who Had AMBER Alert Issued For Them

California officials canceled an AMBER Alert on Friday for siblings Wyman Bryant and Willow Bryant, who were found safe more than two weeks after their disappearance.
The Los Angeles County Sheriff’s Department announced that 4-year-old Wyman Bryant and 2-year-old Willow Bryant had been located on X. It is not clear where the siblings were found.
The children were last seen on August 14 in the 8300 block of Vermont Avenue in Los Angeles.
Officials previously said the children were abducted and identified the suspects as Tiffany Bryant, 39, and David James, 53. The suspects are the children’s parents and they have been taken into custody, KABC reported.
Newsweek reached out to the Los Angeles Sheriff’s Department for more information.
Nina Glass, director of a nonprofit based in Texas that assisted in the search, told the outlet that Tiffany Bryant and James took the children from a Department of Child Support Services facility during a supervised visit. She said they left through an emergency exit, leaving behind their 15-month-old child.
All three children have been in foster care since the youngest child tested positive for drugs at birth.
AMBER Alert is a nationwide alert system used to notify the public of missing children under the age of 18.
The alerts are broadcast on radio, TV, road signs, cellphones and other data-enabled devices.
As of last year, 1,200 children were found because of the AMBER Alert system and 180 children were rescued as a result of the emergency alerts.
There are several criteria for an alert to be issued, including that an abduction must have occurred, the child must be at risk of serious injury or death and there has to be descriptive information of the child, the suspect or the suspect’s vehicle.
AMBER Alerts are still active for missing children in Tennessee and Wisconsin.
Sebastian Rogers, 15, went missing on February 26. He disappeared from his mother and stepfather’s home in Sumner County, Tennessee.
He is described as 5 feet 5 inches tall and weighs around 120 pounds. He has brown hair and brown eyes and he wears glasses. He was last seen wearing black sweatpants and a black sweatshirt.
Anyone with information about Rogers is being asked to call the Sumner County Emergency Communications Center at 615-451-3838 or the Tennessee Bureau of Investigation at 1-800-TBI-FIND.
Elijah Vue, 3, went missing from his mother’s boyfriend’s house on February 20 in Two Rivers, Wisconsin.
“He was last seen wearing gray sweat pants, long sleeve dark colored shirt and red and green dinosaur slip on shoes,” the Amber Alert said.
Anyone with information in this case should contact the Two Rivers Police Department at 844-267-6648.
